General Terms and Conditions – revamp-it Webshop
We deliver the goods ordered by you based on the following General Terms and Conditions (GTC):
Agreement
By placing an order, the customer explicitly agrees to these GTC. All orders are binding.
Prices
All prices listed in the shop are final prices to be paid by you.
Excluded are items in the following categories marked accordingly in the webshop, for which the conditions described below apply for private customers:
- Complete systems, standard PCs, barebones/mini PCs, Mac
- Laptops, netbooks, docking stations
- Black-and-white laser printers (excluding multifunction devices)
- Scanners
- Flat screens, TVs
Private customers may, depending on their financial situation, adjust the reference price shown in the webshop up or down for personal use (including family/shared housing). When lowering prices, the quantity per product group and customer is limited to 3 (printers: 1).
The reference price serves as guidance for the average price revamp-it should achieve for an item in order to cover costs.
People with an average monthly income above approx. 3000–4000 CHF are encouraged to pay a higher price so that the model works and people with low or no income can pay less.
The downward adjustment is limited by a minimum contribution to cover our costs.
revamp-it reserves the right to cancel orders or block customers in case of suspected misuse of the reference price adjustment.
We currently do not charge VAT.
Orders
Use of pseudonyms is not permitted. Customers must provide correct name and address information.
revamp-it reserves the right to block customers in case of refusal to accept deliveries. In case of re-delivery or incorrect address information, the recipient bears all shipping costs.
Most items offered are second-hand; exceptions are explicitly stated in the product description.
All items are available only while stocks last. If an item is no longer available due to prior sale or error, it generally cannot be supplied again. Price changes and errors are reserved. All offers are non-binding. Errors and misprints excepted.
Delivery Conditions
Items can be collected at Birmensdorferstr. 379, 8055 Zurich by arrangement, free of shipping charges. If delivery is requested, items are usually shipped via Swiss Post. revamp-it is not liable for transport risks or loss of postal shipments. No replacement is provided for lost shipments.
Shipping Costs
A flat fee of 5 CHF per order plus postage applies. Orders over 20 CHF are exempt from the flat fee. Orders up to 30 kg with a value above 150 CHF are shipped free of charge within Switzerland (PostPac Economy only). Shipping options include PostPac Priority, Economy, or Express.
Payment Terms
Payment in advance (bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, etc.) or cash on pickup. Additional fees for credit card or PayPal are charged to the customer.
For second-hand hardware, revamp-it accepts Faircoin, Bitcoin, Talent or “Tauschen am Fluss” hours as alternative payment methods.
If payment is not received within 7 days of invoicing without notice, revamp-it may resell the item.
Delivery Times
Orders are shipped as quickly as possible after payment. Delivery times are not binding. If shipment is not possible within one week, the customer will be informed by email and may cancel the order if not yet shipped.
Warranty
Items are mainly second-hand or older new-stock goods with varying condition. Product images are illustrative and may not reflect the actual item. Items are tested for functionality. Wear and differences in appearance or consumables (e.g. printer cartridges, batteries) may occur. Customers should inquire before ordering if specific requirements exist.
A 6-month exchange warranty applies to defective items (excluding consumables). A replacement will be provided if available; otherwise the purchase price is refunded. Transport damage and customer-caused damage are excluded. Claims must be submitted in writing or by email with item and invoice number. revamp-it may request return of the item.
Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.
Exchange / Incorrect Deliveries / Transport Damage
Exchanges are not possible except in cases of incorrect delivery caused by revamp-it. Liability is limited to replacement delivery. Cancellation or price reduction claims are excluded if replacement is possible. Incorrect deliveries must be reported within 3 days. Returns must be made within 10 days. Visible transport damage must be confirmed by the postal service upon receipt. All damage must be reported within 3 days. Compensation is limited to postal insurance coverage (currently approx. 500 CHF for standard parcels).
Returns due to dissatisfaction are excluded. Returns are only accepted for products not explicitly excluded from return.
Retention of Title
Goods remain property of revamp-it until full payment is received.
Liability Disclaimer
revamp-it excludes liability for delivered/sold products (including downloads) to the extent permitted by law.
Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. Exclusive jurisdiction is Zurich.
